extended stay

So I extended my stay in Utah a few more days in hopes of finding a job and/or a place to live.  I found neither, but had a lot of fun in the extra days I got to stay!

Drive-in movie in SLC.  Good thing Eddie has a truck- it was the perfect set up.  I fell asleep within the first 5 minutes, as usual, but at least I was outside while falling asleep

Demolition derby.  Have you ever been to one of these?  They're totally awes.  They really are.  Following the derby we rode a few of the carni rides, but the massive chilli-cheese dog Eddie ate right before the tilt-a-whirl didn't sit too well

While Eddie worked two long days I got to see some of my best friends.  It felt so good to hang out with girls I spent a lot of time w/ in Provo.  We hit up the Provo Farmer's market, hung out pool-side, went to some of my fav Provo restaurants and Chanel and I went to 7 Peaks

Macaroni Grill (Carrabba's is a tad better in our opinion)

The highlight of the weekend?  Sundance!  I seriously can't be in Provo without a weekly trip to Sundance; I crave it.  During my college years I would end up at Sundance on many of my Sunday drives.  It's so quiet and beautiful.  Eddie & I rode the ski lift all around the mountain- next time we're bringing bikes!

Jewtah

On my way home to Virginia from LA I stopped in Salt Lake for one of my good friend's weddings.  Jenny Waters (now Hunter) and I have known each other since 2nd grade so it was awesome being there for her wedding.
Here she is at her bridal shower
Laura, who flew out from VA for the wedding, and I at the shower

Richard & Jenny Hunter!

I was able to stay with my grandparents the majority of my time in Salt Lake.  We had such a good time, it reminded me of the times I came up and stayed with them throughout college. I'm lucky to have a close relationship with them.

My Grandparents on their porch, which has a perfect view of the valley

I don't have any pics to prove it, but I also saw my Aunt BooBoo, Uncle Joe and Aunt Denise, and cousins Allison and Emma, which is always a good time.

Eddie & I watching the sunset from the porch

Then we had a little photo shoot outside of Eddie's house =)

Ok have you ever seen those engagements where people seriously stand like this?  And actually send them out as the real deal?  I don't get it

Right after eating at Blue Iguana in SLC- delicious

OK Utah, I need a job and a place to live before I return...
