we made it!

We got to Kansas in 3 days. Most people have been getting here in 1 but who's counting. When we first got here we moved into Eddie's Boss's apartment since neither of ours was ready. Then Eddie's was ready so I temporarily moved into his. Now mine's ready so I've moved my stuff into my new apt! Hopefully this is the last time.

My roommates got here this week and they're cute girls. They both just graduated from beauty school so it should be a fun/ girlie/ pampered summer! So far only 6 of the guys are here and the other 20 should be arriving this weekend. We've done a little exploring of this Kansas place over the past week and a half, but Eddie's had to work most of the time. The office doesn't still doesn't have internet but hopefully I'll start tomorrow.

Here's a little photo journal of the first taste of Kansas:

This was Eddie on the entire drive out. Every stop we made he would check the fluid in both cars, clean the windshields of bugs, and clean our headlights. Once we got to Kansas he deep-cleaned both our cars. he's so manly

dinner the first night? BBQ of course! It's our personal mission to find all the best restaurants (Joe- your recommendation is on the list!)

below is Eddie at the City Market
..we went for some produce and italian sandwhiches

mmmmm this caprese sandwich was SO GOOD.
Gma & Gpa- you'd love it!

Israel anyone???

Eddie likes to know things. All things. Wherever we go, he'll read all the little "explanation signs". Like the pic below. Or if we're talking about something and he doesn't know everything about it, he'll google it. He literally googles 10 things a day just cause he's curious. love that about him

I think I've already found my fav house in Kansas
I'll have to drive by again to get a better angle
cause it's really cute

KS reminds me of VA more than I expected
so green and beautiful

Gates BBQ

Eddie says he sells better when we go do fun stuff in the morning, as opposed to sleeping til 11 then working all day. I get that. So the other day we went to the Bontanical Gardens here in Overland Park.. they were so fresh. Miles and miles of trails, flowers, trees, lots of grass, lakes, etc. It was paradise.

here's to an excellent summer adventure here in KCK!
as opposed to KCMO. We wish we were on the missouri side cause we like saying kcmo better.

Happy Easter~

I will always be grateful for the experience I had celebrating Easter in the Holy Land. wow. I've been thinking about Jerusalem this entire week and how much it strengthened my testimony of the Savior. And how much it increased my love for this glorious day!

He is not here; He is risen!

southern utah

Last weekend we went on a little hiking/ camping trip with some of eddie's friends. We went to a place called Goblin Valley State Park which is just a few miles away from Moab. It was real pretty/interesting (lots of nature-made rock statues that look like goblins that you can climb on) and an overall fun trip. I love all the cool things there are to do here in Utah.
