a real dream come true

eddie & i went and saw TIM MCGRAW this weekend. i've wanted to see him for years & years. he's always been my absolute favorite artist. his song where the green grass grows is the very thing that converted me to country music years ago. i still remember where i was when i heard it. i was driving w my aunt booboo and cousin allison from st. george to vegas and it came on the radio. i was like 12. ever since then i've looooooved tim.

eddie and i also have a little history with tim. when i was a freshman and sophomore in college eddie would always come get me to hang out. as friends. (i know i always throw that in there but its cool to think back on those times and realize we had no idea what would come.) anyways, at the end of the night he would go to drop me back off and usually a tim cd was playing and it always happened to be on my "favorite song". so i would have him drive around the block til my song was over. this happened a lot so when i think of tim i always think back to those days. plus, lots of his love songs are our songs too.

SO when we found out he was coming,
it only seemed right that we find some
FLOOR TICKETS for the event!

iPhone4

the wait is over! the wait for the iPhone4, that is. it all began 2 weeks ago when they {eddie, jeff, tyler, brett} went to the store and registered for it, after hours of unsuccessfully trying to pre-register online. then, on thursday, we woke up at 6am and met down at the apple store to pick it up. apple was incredible and had doughnuts & water to keep our hunger and thirst at bay during the 4 hour wait. my friend whitney and i went along for moral support and it actually turned out to be fun, hanging out & knowing how excited the boys were. best part about it? i felt justified whispering to eddie as we walked out with his new phone, "you cant say i'm taking too long at the mall ever again!" but i was kidding. kinda....

7am

look at this crazy line

i love the feeling of getting excited just because someone you love & care about is really excited.

liberty jail

this week we went and saw some church history sites here in missouri. turns out there's lots of it to see! eddie and i actually stopped in independence last year on our cross-country drive, so that was already checked off the list. this wknd we went to liberty and took a tour of the jail where joseph smith was held for 5 long wintery months while he waited for his trial.

it never hit me how miserable those conditions were until i went and saw for myself; the room is t-i-n-y. especially for the 6 grown men incarcerated. the exact floor rocks and ironwork are still in the jail today, but the rest has been reconstructed to what it would have been like. the best part about going to the jail is that it gave more meaning to the revelation received while joseph was there; D&C 121-123.

when we got home i went and read jeffrey r. holland's talk "lessons from liberty jail" which is incredible. highly recommend the read.

the ironwork on the doors and some of the stones are the only remaining parts of the original jail

the walls were 4 feet thick. and they put additional rocks on the top. there was no escaping.

we ended the day with a cool treat

Happy Father's Day, Padre!

You're the best dad in the world.

We {me, adam, jordan} know you love us. I appreciate how hard you have/ continue to work to make our lives better. Plus you've always spent tons of time with us and made us a priority. Thank you. And you're really nice to mom too, so that's even better. Happy Father's Day! I love you~

sugarland

Lori, Jocelyn, Candice & I headed downtown to the Sprint Center for a little sugarland concert this wknd. And it RULED. It was easily one of our fav nights here thus far. Jennifer Nettles is incredible, we knew way more songs than we thought we did, and we just danced & sang/ yelled the entire night. The only thing missing? The other office girls. We really did miss you guys. Now our sights are set for other summer concerts~ Bring em on!

** OK my computer is being crazy and won't let me write between the pictures. But Candice is the other blonde, Lori has the real dark longer hair and Jocelyn has the lighter brown hair. love them, love this night.
