bridal shower

 my best friend through the past 6 years of college, Paige, threw me a bridal shower last weekend.  it was the most gorgeous thing! there were fresh flowers everywhere, framed pictures of eddie & i, and tons of delicious food. she and her two assistants, jenna & amy are so talented and generous.  it made me feel so loved and excited about what's to come!

 & of course the guests! i love these girls.  some i've known since childhood, others i met the first years of college, others were my roommates throughout my college years, and a few are from my most recent summer in kansas! i love all these girls and am so happy they could come.

in YW years ago we created these "marriage tins" that you were supposed to keep sealed until you get married.  well 10 years later here i am!  my mom is the best and remembered about it & sent it to paige to open at my shower.  it was so funny.  i never realized i've been obsessed with babies and baby names since i was 14- that was a re-occuring theme.  i also learned i am marrying the boy i dreamed about as a 14 year old- he matched up pretty perfectly. oh yeah i also learned i had terrible taste as a teen- my choices for a dream dress and decorations were terrible!

they made all these tissue balls. i loved them!

paige you sure know how to make a girl feel loved- everything about this shower was beautiful.  thank you for all your hard work.  and thank you to everyone who came and for your amazing gifts!

coming up for air

Woah. It's been almost a month since I've even acknowledged my dear old blog. In the past 3 weeks I... packed up life in Kansas and moved back to Utah (with the help of my mom), wedding planned wedding planned wedding planned, found the dress of my dreams (thanks paige & amy!), moved into the apartment eddie and i will be living in once we're married (still waiting on the couch to be delivered sept 17), took engagements while eddie was out visiting for a weekend, made my first 2 desserts (for a family party) in our new apt, attended a week of math camp, a week of orientation, and the survived the first

week of the MPA program! Oh yeah, and turned 24 :)

Needless to say it's been very hectic around here. Somehow it's all working out though. I was nervous that I'd neglect one of the many major life events I've had to juggle lately but things are going well. I'm definitely excited to see how all the wedding plans will come together. We're about 6 weeks away and things are looking good~ Except for the fact that Eddie is still in kansas. He works so hard and has been out there for

four and a half long months now, and has about 2 more weeks to go. I'm so lucky to be marrying him. Life is good~
